Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public access to many court and agency records, but the hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Laurel Circuit Court Clerk maintains Circuit Court and District Court case files at the Laurel County Judicial Center in London. District Court handles traffic, misdemeanors, probate, guardianship, juvenile matters, and small claims; Circuit Court handles felonies, major civil cases, family matters, contested probate, and appeals from District Court. The County Clerk is separate and handles marriage licenses, recorded instruments, elections, and other non-court county records. The Sheriff's Office and jail handle law-enforcement and custody records, while statewide Kentucky systems handle dockets, public case lookup, background checks, driver history records, and vital certificates.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
